During Swedish massage, the massage therapist uses massage oils to facilitate smooth,
gliding strokes over the body. Other classic Swedish massage moves include kneading, friction, stretching, and tapping. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension, increase circulation, and build immunity.
Appropriate and respectful massage supports children in a very young age about “good touch” and forming a positive body image. Helpful to calm the Central Nervous system so that a child can more easily focus, and feel more at ease in the body. Length of massage is 30 minutes. Will work with children ages 1-17. A gentle but profound and therapeutic modality. The practitioner works with the lightest touch with the bones in the skull, spine and fascia (connective tissue). There is no forceful movement in this form of healing. This modality optimizes cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord, aligns bones to their proper position, and is known to ease nerve passages. This work is helpful for mental stress, migraines, TMJ syndrome, and chronic pain.
A therapy based on universal life energy that serves to align chakras and bring healing energy to organs and glands. Utilizes visualization while practitioner acts as a channel for the life energy. Reiki only sessions are one hour, and include 16 hand placements on or above the body. The client is fully clothed and lying down. Reiki supports the body's natural functions on all levels.

ABOUT TANYA WOODS
Tanya Woods has been teaching yoga since 2000, and continues to deepen her own practice both on and off the mat. She is a certified Ashtanga Yoga instructor, and has finished an additional 200 hour yoga alliance certified training with Sarah Joy Marsh in Portland, OR. She has studied with Master teachers such as Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Chuck Miller and Maty Ezraty, Sianna Sherman, Mitchel Bleier. Her local teachers that she has gained infinite knowledge from are: Jim Gillen, and Sarah Joy Marsh. Tanya is a mother, blessed with two girls that were born at home. She specializes in prenatal and mama and baby yoga classes. Tanya is a massage therapist who has completed a 60 hour pre and post natal massage certification which is the most accredited in the US. She has also completed her Cranio-sacral training for infants and massages children. She is excited to bring her own knowledge, and intuition into her classes to promote relaxation and strength building. Tanya’s yoga classes and workshops include birth preparation and new mother support. She creates a foundation for building stability through a dedicated practice during the delicate life changing transition of motherhood.
